Week 2 and going STRONG

We are headed into week 2 of the academy... I am finally staring to get the hang of things. Meal prep is easier and quick dinners have become second nature with a 2 year old. The definition of time management is shaving in the sink while my toddler bathes, washing my hair and rinsing off while he brushes his teeth, and leaving the bathroom at the same time to put on our pajamas.  Sometimes he even enjoys letting me blow dry my hair if he get's a turn.

HOWEVER... taking a 2 year old boy to David's bridal to pick up my bridesmaid dress, now that is a memory that will not soon be forgotten. Jace is generally a very well behaved 2 year old, there are bad days and mischievous days on occasion, but generally he listens well and keeps close to momma.  Jace decided it would be a good idea to run under all the manikin bride dresses and yell "MOMMA SHE GUURL!"... Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me! Did that seriously just happen?! What was I thinking bringing him!

50 shades of pink later...

The dress is secured in the back of the car along with my child and out of the public eye we go.

This kid...

Academy Day 1

Academy Day 1...

136 day's to go. We started out strong today... ok I lied. At 4:20 AM Ricky checked his text from the night before, original meeting time of 5:30 AM was now changed to 4:45 AM.

It's cool, we got this...

We both go flying out of bed, pants on inside out and sleep in my eyes, I am ready to go. I put the ice in Ricky's water jug, pack his pre prepped meals in his lunch box, blend his smoothie, scramble his eggs for his breakfast burrito, feed the dog, and get him out the door. He might be a few minutes late but he will make it.

I get back to the bedroom to put on my workout pants to get a good core workout in before I have to wake the little one. Mind you... I run at 5:00 AM everyday. I am so exhausted from the rush of the morning I just can't... so it's back to bed I go.

No word from Ricky all day, but that's to be expected. I finally get home and let Chili (our long hair Australian Shepard) out to go potty, I say "go potty Chili", Jace says "Momma me too" then proceeds to thrust his hips forward before I know what's happening. He's peeing... Yeah right through his pant's and all. So casually just peeing. As I finally come to the realization of what is happening I throw the diaper bag, gym bag, lunch bag, and Target bag over my shoulder and underarm my 2 year old like a football to the bathroom. Is today over yet?

Ricky arrives home and makes his way to the bedroom to study where he stays for the majority of the evening.

Trying to iron (when honestly you don't know how) and keep a 2 year old at bay is an obstacle I will have to overcome in the near future. Along with the phrase,

"No momma oly daddy."

When trying to tuck him in for bed. Once I finally got through that it was bath time, or so I thought. By the time I sat down in a nice hot bath with the most recent episode of Vampire Diaries...

wait for it...

"Momma Jace thirsty."

So I get out of the bath and get him a drink of water. I tuck him back in again and climb back in my warm bath.

Wait for it...

"Momma Jace thirsty, momma water."

After we have accomplished that there is no longer a need for water I climb back in my luke warm bath.

Wait for it...

"Momma Jace go poo poo."

I crawl back out of the bath and put my little nugget on the potty. 15 minutes later we have successfully gone poop. Back to bed we go. By this point there is no point, my water is cold and I just wash my face and put on my pajamas.

Lights out ladies and gent's tomorrow is Day 2.

A bottle of wiskey a day keeps the Dr. away...

I figured since I was starting a new journey in life that it was time to move forward. Delete the old and journey on with what the future holds. Here is too new beggingings and this wild ride we call life.
